President
Maddox is a skilled visual storyteller. With creative origins in illustration, he’s never been afraid to create exactly what he needs when something doesn’t already exist.

Vice President
I’d rather be creating or learning something new than doing just about anything else. Brand development and user journey building is my jam. I am passionate about good photography and design and an admitted typography nerd.

Chapter Manager
My philosophy is design with empathy, lead with humanity. Off duty, my studio becomes a sanctuary where I indulge in an ever-expanding array of hobbies, and practicing my belief in living a life as colorful and diverse as my design work

Communcations Director
Lani Henning is a seasoned digital marketing professional, specializing in EMAIL & SMS marketing, with a rich background in web design and photography. Hailing originally from St. Louis, she has also called Nashville and Chicago home, enriching her understanding of diverse markets and communities.

Membership Director
Natalie has always had a fascination for making creative connections within her surroundings. While learning various art forms, she discovered that design was the ultimate practice to incorporate all creative possibilities. Her ambition to see the unnoticed and unexpected potential of everyday life, drives her belief that design has the ability to broaden perspectives and impact the world.

DE&I Director
The best part of working in design is the ability to bring ideas to life and make meaningful connections through visual storytelling. My advice to fellow creatives is to embrace curiosity, cultivate resilience, and never stop learning. Stay open to new perspectives, experiment fearlessly, and don’t be afraid to fail because every setback is an opportunity to grow.

Web & Interactive Chair
Adanma Ojukwu is a UX Designer and Web Developer with a background in illustration. She has a passion for connecting aesthetics with function, data with empathy, and strategy with creativity. She also enjoys digital illustration and often looks for opportunities to incorporate art into her website projects.

Creative Director
I’m a designer and animator based in St. Louis, MO. Like everyone, I’m a huge fan of Disney and Pixar movies. One of my favorite elements from those movies would have to be the storytelling. Being able to tell stories through the art of motion and design has always been a passion of mine since I was a kid.

Treasurer
I am a graphic designer, illustrator, and lifelong student of design. After ten years in banking, I returned to school to pursue my passion. My previous work experience has taught me that every penny counts. That attention to detail combined with my study of art and design  forms an analytical approach to creativity.

Education Chair
I live in St. Louis, Missouri. Currently I am an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design. I teach in the Department of Art and Design at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) in Edwardsville, Illinois. I earned a MA and a MFA in Graphic Design from The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.

Student Conference Chair
I came to graphic design after a mid-career shift from the social sciences. My background in psychology, nonprofit work, and community organizing informs my interest in design as a communication tool.

Design Show Chair
As an art director and designer, Tyler’s passion for creating memorable work is matched only by his boundless and infectious optimism. He believes good design can have a profound impact on peoples’ lives, and he is continually exploring new ways to make that happen.

The Programming Chair works with all Board members to plan an annual calendar that reflects activities consistent with AIGA’s mission and meets the needs of the Saint Louis, Chapter members. This chair develops and produces quality and effective programming. They work closely with fellow board members to build successful programs. He or she oversees and assists Event Chairs with the planning of their events, notably establishing and tracking of the event budgets (work with Bookkeeper), and time management; and assists in securing speakers, sponsors and venues when needed.

The Education Director/Chair promotes and expands local student and faculty participation in the design community, serving as a liaison between AIGA National, AIGA Saint Louis and Student Group Faculty Advisors.

This Chair fosters a relationship of mutual benefit between AIGA Saint Louis and representatives from allied fields who service the design community. This usually occurs in the form of cash or in-kind sponsorship for Chapter events. This chair will work closely with the Programming Chair in establishing a calendar and identifying potential sponsors for Chapter events and activities. The Sponsorship Chair works closely with an executive committee to accomplish development goals.

As part of AIGA’s Initiative, the In-House Chair focuses on engaging, educating and recruiting in-house designers to become members of AIGA.

The volunteer chair is responsible for maintaining a living document of all volunteers available to AIGA St. Louis for events, committees, and other opportunities. Volunteer chairs are responsible for helping to coordinate volunteers with the appropriate chairs  for events, as well as help at the event to do volunteer orientation and management.
